Steve Mitchell is a specialist trauma and limb reconstruction surgeon based in Bristol, UK. His practice includes both acute complex trauma and salvage of trauma-related complications including infection, non-union and the management of bone defects, offering a patient-specific solution utilizing both internal and external methods of treatment. He has a specialist interest in deformity correction and limb lengthening. Steve is part of the internationally recognized Orthoclastic reconstruction service in Bristol. He has lectured extensively on these subjects and regularly teaches on a variety of national and international courses. Recently he has explored the role of VR in surgical training and its role in distance learning and virtual peer-to-peer case discussions. Away from work he is an avid snowboarder and mountain biker.
